About TU

Trout Unlimited’s mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America’s trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. TU accomplishes this mission on local, state and national levels with an extensive and dedicated volunteer network. TU’s national office, based just outside of Washington, D.C., and its regional offices employ professionals who testify before Congress, publish a quarterly magazine, intervene in federal legal proceedings, and work with the organization’s 125,000 volunteers in 500 chapters nationwide to keep them active and involved in conservation issues.

Chapter Organization
Our Chapter’s organization is quite simple. We have five officers, three “year classes” of three Board members each and a variable number of “at-large”Board members which may include corporate Counsel. Generally, Committee Chairs are on the Board for reasons of insuring full and effective communication. It should be emphasized that ANY member may attend Board meetings and ALL are encouraged to do so, since we are a volunteer group. Our Board meets in advance of programs, so come early and listen or participate! Our President, Dick Krause, usually prepares an agenda for the Board, so if you have a topic to discuss, please contact him in advance (920-987-5287) to insure your concern is included, especially for those sessions before programs where time to conduct all our business is limited. For field observations regarding illegal, questionable or doubtful activities, please contact the Watchdog Chair Tom Poullette (715-258-5565) or John Gremmer(920-582-7802). Our field Workday activities are authorized and monitored by the DNR who welcome suggestions for pro-jects submitted by our Chapter.
| Hello, I'm Dick Kraus, President of CWTU. I would like to invite you to join CWTU and participate in our programs and activities. I see my job as providing administrative leadership, coordinating and being involved in our acitivities, listening to our membership, looking for ways to involve young people, growing our membership, and getting our message out beyond Trout Unlimited. |
