Finish Bank Cover Ready for Fill
This shows the finished bank cover ready for fill. You will also notice planking on the inside of the bank cover placed on end and jetted into the bottom. This is done to prevent soil from the bank and stream bottom from eroding from behind. This will be covered with fill and seeded in and the outside of the bank cover will be the new edge of the bank. This bank cover reduces the stream width where is had widened do to bank erosion and will help increase the flow and scour the bottom to deepen the stream in that area. The deeper water also helps reduce stream temperature where sun light penetrating shallow areas warms the water.
