I live Oshkosh with my two sons, Clay (15) and Spencer (12). I work in Neenah forACP (Acoustic Ceiling Products) as their Creative Director. I have lived in Oshkosh now about 13 years; I moved down here form the Eagle River area, where I lived for about 9 years. I am originally from Ladysmith, Wisconsin where I grew up fishing the Flambeau River.
I enjoy all kinds of fishing; specifically fly fishing for smallmouth bass, brook trout and muskies. I do most of my fishing in waders or out of my canoe or kayak; my boat sees very little use. My very favorite thing is wilderness camping out of my canoe. For me, fishing is more about the place and the quiet of nature than the catching, but of course it is the fishing that draws me to explore these places. Favorite places include Sylvania Wilderness Area, BWCA and Isle Royale. I also enjoy fly tying, photography, collecting books on fishing and freelance graphic design.
My work and the boys keep me pretty busy, so I do not get on the water as much as I would like but that improves a bit each year.
I have been a TU member since 1996, where I was originally a member of the Northwoods chapter.
