About Me
Freelance writer living in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Father--deceased in 1966--was an avid trout fly fisherman in Shawano County in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. I'm writing a story about him and my mother and have some questions about his favorite fly: The Silver Minnow. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Thanks, NoWiBrookie. If possible, please send an image of a fly that you think resembles the Silver Minnow to tedschaar@gmail.com. Many thanks, Ted
If it's the Silver Minnow I'm familiar with, it is tied wet-fly style, similar to a Llama. This fly was shown to me by a TU Chapter member who grew up and fished in the Shawano and Menominee County area.
