41st. Annual Fly Fishing School - June 2-3, 2018

The 41st Annual CWTU Fly Fishing School will be held on June 2nd and 3rd, 2018.  It will be held at the Riverside Bible Camp, Amherst, WI. (Please note the following two changes since the brochure was printed.  The minimum ages was changed from 13 to 18 and the Friday night registration was eliminated and there will only be a Saturday morning registration)

Fly fishing is a sport for a lifetime.  From the beauty of being on a sparkling trout steam, the rhythmic motion of casting, the thrill of the trout's rise to your fly, to the bright colors of the trout itself, fly fishing is a captivating pursuit enjoyed by men and women for centuries.

Using our own experience, plus suggestions and requests from former students, we have designed a school to make you a better fly fisher than you are now. We offer classes and individual instruction in such subjects as: FLY CASTING, READING THE WATER, UNDERSTANDING FLY HATCHES, SELECTING FLY PATTERNS, TACKLE SELECTION, KNOT TYING, FLY TYING DEMONSTRATIONS, AND MUCH MORE!


Fishing for trout, stream-side instruction, fly casting practice, slides, videos, entomology, fishing literature, care of tackle, fly tying---all presented on a level suited to the beginner as well as those of intermediate experience.
